Watching Over
© 1996 Mind’s Eye  Words: Minton / Music: Steinhurst / Minton

On the silent edge of a quiet mind lies a field of knowing just beyond peripheral
Tune into the frequency just off the dial, feel the inner wind rush through as they answer me

When I'm wondering and I need to know, I can feel them watching over

Even in the eye of my darkest hour, their answer comes to me with blinding power
Anytime the way is muddy, they clear the road clairvoyant to my subtlest needs yet they remain unknown

When I'm wondering and I need to know, I can feel them watching over
And I feel them, watching over… yes I feel them, yeah…

Within their presence I am reduced to miniscule—music plays within them, love is their tool
And I wanna know them—and I wanna feel that high, shed the weight of my mortality and fly away

When I'm wondering and I really need to know—I can feel them, I can feel them
Yeah… I feel them, watching over… yes I feel them, yeah…

When I'm wondering and I really need to know—I can feel them, I can feel them

When the spirit moves me, I am moved to tears—nothing in comparison to any earthly bliss
Though long ago my cross was traded for a five-pointed star, oh they know no denomination

Yeah—yeah, I feel them, watching over… yes I feel them, yeah…
Oh and I feel them, oh and I feel them, they're watching over watching over watching over…
They're watching over… oh, yeah, they're watching over me, oh they're watching over me, yeah…
They're watching over me—oh, yeah
